Several RBA members will be exhibiting at the ‘Little Gems’ exhibition at Mall Galleries from 15th to the 22nd of February.

From Mall Galleries website…

Little Gems will bring together images from across the British Isles, featuring pockets of our glorious country. From landscapes to secluded scenes, Members of the Federation of British Artists will explore the gems of our land through print, pastel and paint.

The pictures will be small, emphasising the feeling of discovery, providing ‘picture postcard’ works that are accessible in price and easy to carry home.

The Autumn 2014 newsletter is now available. Alan Friday (an RBA Friend) describes the running of a modern picture framing workshop and Julian Halsby reviews the Turner exhibition at the Tate Modern. Also included is members news of their recent recent and upcoming exhibitions.

Exhibiting the best of contemporary representational painting, sculpture, printmaking and drawing, sourced from member artists and open submission. This year’s show opens on Wednesday the 5th of March at Mall Galleries and runs until the 15th of March.

Applications for the 2015 Rome Scholarship will be accepted from the 1st of September to the 31st of December 2014, with interviews to follow in January 2015.

Cheryl Culver and Judith Gardner will be demonstrating at Art in Action. The event runs from Thursday the 17th to Sunday the 20th of July, from 10am to 5:30pm each day.

RBA members who are also members of The Small Paintings Group will be exhibiting at their Spring exhibition at Geedon Gallery in Fingringhoe from the 12th to the 27th of April, and then by appointment to the 27th of May..
