Call for entry to the Rome Scholarship

The Royal Society of British Artists is able to offer this major scholarship as a result of a generous bequest from the late Mr. G H Benn in memory of his late wife Marianne Von Werther, a former member of the RBA. The prize is presented with a view to offer an enriching learning experience for a young emerging artist as well as augmenting their professional profile.

The Award Offers:
Four weeks at Sala Uno, a highly prestigious gallery and international arts centre in the heart of Rome
Accommodation is in a self-contained apartment, situated within a wonderful and extensive walled garden in the grounds of the gallery
Studio space will be available within the gallery
Half-board. Breakfast and evening meal, is provided at a nearby restaurant
Return flights to Rome are paid for

The National Original Print Exhibition Sep 19th – Oct 1st 2017

RBA member Austin Cole is showing original works in The National Original Print Exhibition, which takes place in The Bankside Gallery from September 19th – October 1st between 11am – 6pm.

 

The private view will take place on the 19th September, 6pm – 8pm, and will be opened by Dr Caroline Campbell, curator at the National Gallery.

The Rome Scholarship 2017

Several of our members are exhibiting at the Russell Gallery in their Mixed Christmas Exhibition. See the gallery website for details. The exhibition is on from the 24th of November to the 21st of January 2017, Closed 25th of December re-opens on the 17th January.

Applications for the 2017 Rome Scholarship will be accepted from the 5th of September to the 13th of January 2017. This is a wonderful opportunity for a BA/MA student in their final year to spend four weeks at Sala Uno in Rome.
