RBA November/December News

George Large who spent many years living in Malta before relocating back to the UK, has 2 works in the Malta Maritime Museum in Birgu.  One of the works is:

“Fishermen at Marsaxlokk honour the hard-working fishermen and their beautiful characteristic Maltese boats”

George also has work in the Malta Heritage Centre in Malta

Cheryl Culver has been invited to show four works at Thompson’s Gallery Aldeburgh, Suffolk for their Christmas Show – two oils and two pastels.
The show is on from the 7th December to 5th January.

Cheryl has also been invited to show six works at the The Gallery, Holt, Norfolk, for their Christmas Show entitled ‘Elements’.
The exhibition opens Friday 15th November closes 24th December.

Susie Perring & Meg Dutton as Half Moon Printmakers showed work at the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea from the 17th – 20th October

Richard Cook had a work accepted for the Sunday Times Watercolour Competition this year which showed from the 17th to 22nd at the Mall Galleries before touring to Trowbridge 5th Oct to 9th November.
The exhibition can then be seen at:

Richard also had a work accepted for the RSMA which showed at the Mall Galleries in October.

Peter Newsome’s glass sculpture “Interplay” was donated, by a patron, to The Royal Marsden Cancer hospital in Sutton.  The work can be seen close to the main entrance corridor:

Shanti Panchal, HonRBA has been showing his work in the Hayletts Gallery.  The exhibition is: “In colour and shades” PAINTINGS BY SHANTI PANCHAL and includes a number of new watercolours he has been working on over the last two or three years.

And once again some good news from Alex Wood  one of the RBA’s RISING STARS last year.  He writes:

“I’m over the moon as I recently heard that I have been awarded an Arts Council England“Developing Your Creative Practice” Full Award to create new bronze sculptures and other works. I’m soon exhibiting some of these new creations at Kunstmesse in Leipzig, Germany from 1-3 November.”
