RBA Spring Newsletter 2022

Habib Hajallie has always had his news included with the RBA RISING STARS — but he has now ‘RISEN’ as he was one of the two new Members elected at the AGM.  Congratulations Habib!!

Habib tells us:  His work in The Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2021 was on show at Drawing Projects UK in Wiltshire.  He has been invited to show 5 works at The Gallery Holt, Norfolk, as part of their ‘Transience of Beauty’ Exhibition.  This exhibition runs until the 5th April 2022.


For the 2nd year his work in the RBA Annual Exhibition was “Highly Commended” by Sandra de Laszlo and, for the last time his work will also be featured in the RBA RISING STARS exhibition at the Royal Over-Seas League in Mayfair.  The PV for this show is Thursday 28 April, 6 – 8PM.  Ticket only.

Alex J Wood the our Rome Scholarship winner in 2021 will be travelling to Rome on the 1st April for his month-long stay at Sala Uno.  We hope he will keep in touch to share his experiences with us.  We saw his work in the RBA Exhibition as well work from some of our other RBA RISING STARS who had their work selected:



Samuel also had an exhibition of some of his portraits and drawings at the Scottish Arts Club in Edinburgh until the 5th March.  The show was called ‘Art in Words and Hyperrealism’

Ethan Caflisch has a solo exhibition at the ‘a.m. gallery’ in Antwerp until the 23rd April and has work in a group show at Alice’s Oyster Bar and Gallery in Bishopsgate, London, until May 1st.  This show is called “I’ll be your mirror”

Ben Duax had work in an exhibition at the Hyacinth Gallery in Manhattan Chinatown:

And Ben joins 4 other artists for a show called ‘Big Country’ at Hyacinth, where he is showing his new artworks until April 17th.
